Jennifer Garner’s Spring Chelsea Boots Start at $32

I got so excited about spring’s newest, hottest shoes—including glove flats, high-vamp heels, and slim sneakers—that I almost forgot about one of the season’s tried-and-true staples. Fortunately, Jennifer Garner jogged my memory.

Garner recently posted a picture on Instagram in which she’s wearing a classic pair of Chelsea boots, the practical shoe your spring wardrobe needs. Not only does the ankle boot go with everything—the shoes bring a cool touch to all of your basics basics—but so many styles are also water resistant. Versatile, comfortable, and weather-proof? You can’t really ask for more from a spring shoe. Below, shop the seven pairs I’m currently eyeing, from $32.

You can get the practical shoe for less than $50 at Amazon (yes, really). This pair from Dskuko has a cool lug-sole and is made from a water-resistant fabric. But even though these are technically rain boots, their breathable lining keeps them from getting that sticky, humid feeling you probably associate with the functional footwear. And on a superficial level, they also look a lot cooler.

Garner is loyal to SeaVees’s comfy sneakers, so I wouldn’t be shocked if she also owns a pair of the brand’s Salt Creek Boots. These have the same lug-sole as Garner’s shoes, are available in a similar chocolate brown, and are made from a water-resistant leather. While these are on the pricier side, I think that durable material more than justifies the cost.

My sister, whose job requires weather-proof boots she can stand in for hours, swears by Blundstone’s Chelsea boots. She told me she’s been wearing hers since 2024 and has walked “hundreds of miles through mud, snow, and puddles” in them. They’re worth the investment.
